Change of age range consultation launches
The Bedfordshire Schools Trust has today (Tuesday 1 November) launched a consultation as part of our application to the Department for Education to change the age range at Lawnside Academy.
The application is in line with the Biggleswade cluster plan as set out in Central Bedfordshire Council's Schools for the Future programme, which will see the area transition from three-tier to a two-tier model of education.
The consultation will run until Tuesday 29 November, 2022.
We have sent parents a letter with more information on the consultation and details on how to respond. You can also see the attached stakeholder letter for more.
* As part of the consultation, we will be holding two Q&A sessions for parents/carers and interested members of the community. These will be held on:
- Monday 21st November, 2022 at 11am
- Wednesday 23rd November, 2022 at 3.10pm
The aim of the sessions, which will be run by Cheryl Johnson (Principal) and Craig Smith (COO, Bedfordshire Schools Trust), is to provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about our transition to a primary school.
